CHIMPY
CHIMPY is a hobbyist AlphaServer DS10 running OpenVMS 8.3.
26-OCT-2011 — PSTN Access is back!
You can now reach CHIMPY by directly calling +44 20 7371 2970 using your favourite terminal program. I’m a Kermit fan myself.
25-OCT-2011 — CHIMPY has a new home (again)!
The 800 also sadly died. So, I decided to put CHIMPY on a DS10 with a bunch of pretty large IDE drives and 512 MB RAM (which will be upgraded in due course to the max a DS10 can take).
Moving, always moving
Well, the 4100 up and died so I’ve had to move CHIMPY back to its original home, the 800. It’s not all bad news though: I connected one of the the BA365 disk packs from the 4100 to the new/old box so we have a LOT more storage.
Once I find another KZPAC (the 4100′s one broke as I was trying to extract it) we can hook up the other BA365 and turn the volume up to 11. Any donations?
29-APR-2010 — CHIMPY has a new home! CHIMPY has been moved to my beloved AlphaServer 4100 which is a far chunkier piece of kit than the 800 it used to run on. We have about 150 GB of disk, two 466 MHz processors and 2 GB of RAM. Hardcore, eh?
